This week we've been spending as much time outside as possible. There's been a lot of trips to the garden store, our first picnic, and visits to the park. Carrots, lettuce, radishes, snow peas, onions, and spinach have been planted in our garden. Oh, and herbs. We're off to a pretty good start. Now we are working on our landscaping and lawn. So much to do, May is going to be a very busy month!

We made a trip to the botanical gardens yesterday. I took Sara to the indoor tropical conservatory for the first time and she loved it. What a lovely escape on a cold winter day. Summer feels so far away right now....

Sorry it's been a bit quiet here. Life has been busy. And challenging. I think I need to just slow down and breathe. Not take things so seriously too.
I'll be back this weekend with more :)

I had a good day thrifting! I went to the vintage toy sale, but most of the toys were just too expensive. Darn. A lot of great Fisher Price toys. I did find a vintage Francie (1960's) doll for $45 which I passed on. Now I wish I would have splurged on her. But I'm happy with what I found above. Meyorcord decals, vintage fabric, a vintage tablecloth, Crazy 8 cards, a vintage PJ doll, a 1939 kids dictionary and a bunch of kids books.
I'm looking forward to a little more thrifting tomorrow and then a "date night" with the hubby. I can't wait for some margaritas.

It was a good day at the thrift stores today. I was so excited about finding that 60's cocktail dress for only $3.00, but when I got home I noticed some bad underarm stains. Darn!

A busy day today. Errands, packing & shipping sales (thank you!), all with a toddler that had her own agenda for the day. Ugh, it's like there's a 16 year old trapped in my 2 1/2 year olds body. Tomorrow we're finally getting our first big snow storm of the season. It's been an unusually milder and drier winter until now- very nice. Tomorrow will be a quiet day at home, watching the snow fall. I'm actually looking forward to it.
(piggy bank coming to my vintage shop soon)
