Even though there is still snow on the ground, it really feels like spring. We spent part of our morning in our backyard. Sara had a blast digging in the dirt in our garden. We all can't wait for it to get warm enough to plant our garden.
She's napping right now, thank goodness. There were three days this week she did not nap. Boy, I really rely on her nap time to get things done. Tomorrow we're dying eggs (using the Kool-Aid way again) and maybe going to an Easter egg hunt. Fun times!
I hope you have a nice Easter!

Happy New Year!
It's hard for me to believe that 2012 is now over. It feels like the year just flew by for me.
Our Christmas was great. My little one was so excited this year for Christmas, it was wonderful. This was the first year she really understood it all. But, now it's on to a new year. I have big plans for this year and am excited about the goals I have made. A fresh start really does feel great, doesn't it? Here's to a wonderful 2013!

I'm almost ready for Easter. We still have to dye our eggs (kool aid method) and I'd like to sew a bunny for my little one. Hopefully the weather will be decent on Saturday for the Easter Egg Hunt. It will be Sara's first one. I think I may be just as excited as she is!

Some of the vintage Christmas decorations I have around the house. The end is near with my gift making! I finished some felt finger puppets last night and I only have Sara's apron to sew. I have more Christmas photos to share, so I'll be back soon. I hope your week has been going well :)

Yesterday my mother-in-law babysat while I did a little shopping. I didn't have any luck at Toys R Us- boy, do they need to restock. What's up with their website too? I've had troubles on it for a couple weeks. Anyways, I did have good luck at the thrift store! That burlap angel is a tree topper. Kitschy, but cute, right?
I'm working on an update for my vintage shop right now, including kids books. One is "The Question and Answer Book of Everyday Science (1961)". I think I may have to read through it before I list it. Even though it's a bit dated, it looks interesting. One of the others is "Airplanes and Trucks and Trains, Fire Engines, Boats and Ships and Building and Wrecking Machines (1972)." Wonderfully illustrated. I think that's the longest title for a kids book I've ever seen!

Saturday we drove an hour to one of my favorite thrift stores. It's in a small town, but it's a huge store. I always seem to have good luck at small town thrift stores. Anyways, look at these cute Christmas items I bought. I love this crochet throw! I haven't decided yet if I'll put it in the shop, it's so pretty.
I'm working on sewing some things for my handmade shop, which I hope to open soon. I've realized I need to start a schedule for myself in order to get things done. Being a stay-at-home mom, selling on etsy, and trying to keep a somewhat clean home is taking some work. But I'm trying to learn how to balance it all :)
