Pretty holiday decor, found on Pinterest. Love, love the small tree in the basket. Perfect to keep little hands away.
Hi! It's now 11:30 pm, way past this old gal's bedtime. I'm taking a break from sewing and etsy stuff to post something inspiring I saved from Whole Living magazine. I love their 10 Thoughts on Whole Living lists and here's a favorite...
- Make this the day you follow through
- Invigorate body & mind: exercise until your spirit soars
- Other people may have opinions about where your life is headed, but only you have the power to prove them wrong.
- The path to fearless living goes straight through the roadblocks, not around them.
- Seek out foods that sustain, nourish, and warm you.
- Creativity goes beyond sheer artistry; it takes courage to express your ideas.
- Disagreements offer invaluable insights. Don't avoid them-study them.
- To truly detoxify your lifestyle, think about what you can add in, not just take out.
- The coziest homes aren't merely filled with stuff; they're designed to bring people closer.
- An ending doesn't have to be sad, it's the only way to begin something new.
Today I started a Gratitude Journal. It feels like I get so wrapped up in our daily routine that I tend to forget to be mindful of the blessings in my life. I found this beautiful quote which I included in today's entry...
To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven.

Lovely hexagons...I think one of my next projects will be a pillow with hexagons :-)

I rediscovered a beautiful quote today that I wrote down from a book I read a while ago, the wonderful The Gift of Motherhood :"Within each child is a tiny seed. That seed is the origin of who he or she is. With careful tending - attention, love, nurturing - that seed can one day grow into the bloom it is meant to be. If you pay attention, you can discover the seedling within your child."
I'm loving the aprons at Anthropologie. I'm putting that on my sewing to-do list!
I love this darling little shadowbox. Maybe I can get my woodworker husband to whip one up for me!
