I've got spring fever today. It's 50 degrees outside and all the snow is melting. Loving it! My little one and I will being going to the park shortly. It feels like forever since we've been able to do that. I've been busy today sketching out ideas for new items for my handmade shop. That shop has been a bit neglected and I really want to focus on it now. I feel excited about it all :)
I've dusted off my crochet hooks! It's been a while since I've crocheted. The last project was this afghan for Sara. I've been making these little crochet hearts for a garland for Valentine's Day. Very easy to make, and a perfect thing to make while watching TV. Boy, Valentine's Day will be here before we know it!
Yet another project added to my list! I couldn't resist this cute pattern book at Michaels for slouchy hats. I think I'll make one for me first and then one for the little one. I think it's been over a year since I've crocheted something, so I think I'll have to dig out my Crochet for Dummies book. Yesterday, I bought a pattern at the thrift store for a crochet gingerbread house. It looks cute, but difficult. I think I'll need some more practice before I can try that one.
Ugh. It's been a tough day with a cranky little toddler. She's napping now, so I'm going to put my feet up and do a little crocheting. It's been almost a year since I've done any crochet. The last thing I made was Sara's afghan. I'd love to try to crochet a blanket like this. So colorful and pretty and I think easy. Just what I like :-)
I think this afghan is my best thrift store find yet. I love it! It will eventually be in my vintage shop on etsy, if I don't end up changing my mind and keeping it for myself! It's taking longer for me to get my shops up and running than I thought it would. I'm still figuring out how to balance this all with a baby. Hopefully by the end of this month, fingers crossed :-)
I love crochet potholders and have collected several, but I haven't seen any as pretty as these. The colors, the detail...lovely!

I finished my very first crochet project- a small afghan for my baby. The granny squares turned out a tad puffy, but I think it's fine considering it's my first project. Crocheting was one of those things I've always wanted learn and it feels great to actually be doing it. Gotta love those granny squares!
