On the weekend, I...
ate at my favorite Thai restaurant; painted my nails orange; heard my daughter say "Happy Mother's Day" for the first time; planted cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, and celery; read a good book; bought vintage paper dolls for myself; spent too much time in the sun; watched Sara play with her great grandma; received a lovely card from my husband; made a wasp trap; felt very grateful to be a mother.
Hope you had a wonderful one as well!

Over the weekend I...went to the same estate sale, twice; bought vintage sheets, pillowcases, clothes, and hats; opened the windows in our house; put up our hammock; bought some vegetable seeds; grilled steak; ate a treat from Dairy Queen; enjoyed the mild weather; started a spring cleaning to-do list; did a little needlepoint; watched my little one play in the dirt; got spring fever!

Yesterday, we drove to a nearby tree farm to search for a Christmas tree. I thought Sara would really enjoy walking around all the trees. The perfect trip I imagined turned out to be a cold and windy experience with a toddler having a meltdown. Oh well, at least there weren't many people around. During her nap we put up and decorated our tree. The expression on her face when she first saw it all decorated was priceless!

We had a lovely weekend, which included a trip to the pumpkin patch. I think the little one could have spent the whole day there! I can't wait to carve ours and roast pumpkin seeds. Love them.We also went to a store to look at twin mattresses for Sara. I think she'll be ready to leave her crib soon, but I'm not ready. She's just growing up way too fast...sigh...

It seems like in the last few days the leaves have really started to change color. I love it. We went for a long walk at the marsh yesterday. And I mean long. We didn't think the trail went quite that far. The little one was such a trooper. She walked almost the whole time, for an hour. I hope to get out every weekend this month for a family hike and really enjoy the season. It always goes by so fast!
