The other day I went to a thrift store that I rarely go to anymore. Boy, I'm glad I went. I bought 23 vintage doll clothes patterns, most of which are for Barbie dolls. I literally gasped when I saw all of them. I wouldn't mind wearing some of those clothes, especially the "mod" looking ones. I have started a collection of vintage and reproduction Barbie dolls and I'm really looking forward to sewing clothes for them. Yes, I'm a grown woman sewing clothes for her own dolls. Sounds weird? One day I'll pass them all down to my daughter, so it's okay!

I have some new additions to my vintage Barbie collection. Barbie paper dolls from 1968, which I just love. I'll show the actual dolls and clothes in another post, they're awesome. Also about a dozen vintage sewing patterns for Barbie clothes, ranging from the 60's to the 80's. My little one played with those paper dolls yesterday (a little too roughly), so today we went to the craft store and bought her some brand new Barbie paper dolls. So cute how she's into them. Like mother, like daughter...

Part of my vintage pedestal mug collection. I just can't resist them at the thrift stores. I'm starting to run out of room for them, so I guess it's time to part with a few. The bottom two will be in my vintage shop next week along with some other things.Tonight we're going out to a Thai restaurant. An early Valentine's Day gift, yay!
