I finally had another good day at the thrift store yesterday. I found vintage sheets and pillowcases, a Holly Hobbie Colorforms set (I always wanted that as a kid) and a vintage doll. I flipped out when I saw this vintage 1968 Stacey doll for only $3! Stacey is supposed to be Barbie's "mod friend" from England, according to this great website devoted to Barbie dolls. This one is definitely a keeper!

The other day I went to a thrift store that I rarely go to anymore. Boy, I'm glad I went. I bought 23 vintage doll clothes patterns, most of which are for Barbie dolls. I literally gasped when I saw all of them. I wouldn't mind wearing some of those clothes, especially the "mod" looking ones. I have started a collection of vintage and reproduction Barbie dolls and I'm really looking forward to sewing clothes for them. Yes, I'm a grown woman sewing clothes for her own dolls. Sounds weird? One day I'll pass them all down to my daughter, so it's okay!
